COURSE OBJECTIVE:
The primary objective of this course is to cultivate a multidisciplinary workforce capable of designing, operating, and governing electrical transmission systems that align with global net zero emissions targets. It aims to bridge critical skill gaps in renewable energy integration, grid modernization, and climate justice by equipping professionals with expertise in three core areas:

Technical Proficiency: Mastery of advanced transmission technologies, including HVDC systems, grid-scale energy storage, and cyber-physical security protocols.

Socioeconomic Integration: Understanding energy justice frameworks, indigenous rights in infrastructure development, and equitable transition strategies for fossil fuel-dependent communities.

Policy Alignment: Competence in navigating evolving regulatory landscapes, carbon pricing mechanisms, and international climate agreements such as the Paris Agreement.

Module: Workshops in groups
An online course is an excellent opportunity to broaden your knowledge. However, we recognise that a significant value of courses lies in the exchange of experiences among participants. This requires a certain level of openness and willingness to collaborate, which can sometimes only be fully unlocked through face-to-face interaction and the use of appropriate workshop solutions. That is why the programme for in-person courses includes 'Workshops in groups using real documents and a selected workshop format,' lasting approximately 90 minutes. These workshops are conducted during the second part of the course.

COURSE METHOLODOGY:
Net zero transmission courses employ a blended pedagogical framework combining modular digital learning, experiential simulations, and stakeholder-driven project work to build multidisciplinary climate competency. Core methodologies include: self-paced modules on climate physics and decarbonization pathways.

COURSE SUMMARY:
These programs equip professionals and students to orchestrate net zero-aligned energy transitions through three knowledge pillars:
1) Climate systems literacy
2) Technical transmission skills
3) Transition governance
